About Free Teleprompter Online

A browser teleprompter, made by Thomas Lee.

Paste your script, set a comfortable reading view and rehearse in your browser. I also make Teleprompter Pal, the iPhone app for keeping your script, camera take and basic edit together.

Who makes it

I’m Thomas Lee, the maker behind Free Teleprompter Online and Teleprompter Pal. Both products are published through Second Wind, LLC.

The browser tool is for the times when you want to open a reader and get started without an installation or an account. Teleprompter Pal brings a script-to-recording workflow to iPhone. Links between the two sites recommend another product I make.

My background

I’m also the founder of Georamp, where I work on AI search visibility: understanding how brands are mentioned and cited across tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity. My LinkedIn profile covers that side of my work.

This reader serves a different part of communication. It helps you take prepared words and practise saying them, whether you are planning a presentation, a lesson or a video.

A reader you can open and use

The starting point is a script box and a reading view. You can change text size, pace and margins, mirror the words for reflective glass, pause to edit a line and keep rehearsing.

When browser storage is available, the reader saves your script and settings locally. A text-file export gives you a separate backup. The privacy and local-storage page explains what happens when storage is blocked or cleared.

Recording in your browser

The optional camera recorder keeps takes on your device. Download a take before closing or reloading the tab. It has a 15-minute or 200 MB limit per take, whichever comes first, and formats vary by browser.

The camera workflow describes the checks completed so far and what to test on your own setup. Physical iPhone/Safari camera, microphone and saved-video acceptance is still pending; desktop and synthetic checks do not establish it.

About the guides

The “Free Teleprompter Online team” byline identifies this site’s publisher. I’m responsible for its content. I use AI assistance for research, drafting and illustrations, and link to the documentation, original research and testing notes supporting the advice.

Worked scripts and classroom exercises are examples to adapt. The Zoom sharing demonstration is an illustration, not a recorded meeting. Guide dates distinguish original publication from substantive updates, while test notes explain the conditions and limits of each check.
